15 pretty ladies, yummy food, lots of pink and red, many (many) mimosas … just the perfect way to get our girlfriends together on a Sunday morning and celebrate a day that’s not just about boys, fancy dinner reservations and flowers, but more about simply spending time with the people you care about.

And while we’re on the topic of decorating, look at the fun headboard that Kate, my incredibly-crafty roommate, made a couple weeks ago! It was so easy and took her maybe an hour and a half to put together from start to finish. Looks great, right?

I’d wait for her post this herself, but she’s been TERRIBLE about blogging recently. Will yall do me a favor and tell her she should get back on the Tumblr train? She won’t hear it from me. S’il vous plait?

My roommate and BFF (what? I still say BFF, don’t judge) left me for the summer to do an internship in Paris. On one hand, I’m jealous and sad. On the other, I’m so excited for her and can’t wait to re-live la vie parisienne vicariously through all her fun stories and pictures. Follow her journey here!

Saturday Night Pre-Going Out Photo Shoot

This is what happens when you have Rihanna’s Rude Boy on repeat, 4 bottles of wine, two blondes, a brunette and a Macbook Pro…

The goal (which seemed like a brilliant, totally non-awkward idea at the time) was to model our best ‘US Weekly faces’ for the camera. Mission FAIL.

In addition to my debut as a pop music vocalist, Kate and I whooped some serious shuffleboard booty last night. Her law school guy friends were shocked by our exceptional skills.

So for all you overconfident male shuffleboard competitors, don’t think that just because we’re girls we can’t play a mean, nasty game of shuffleboard…

Miss Kate Primrose and I met for a quick and lovely outdoor lunch today at Northside Social. It just opened a few days ago in Clarendon and we like it already. 

Do you ever have those moments where you feel like you’re in an episode of The Hills? That happened to us earlier. The outdoor cafe, bright sun, light breeze, middle of the day, gossiping… No? Ok then, it’s official, we’re dorks.

Kate, good luck on your last exam today! Half way through law school…

And don’t worry, we are going to celebrate and get crazy tonight, like thongs in the kitchen crazy. Consider yourself warned.

My pretty roommate Kate is celebrating her birthday today!

We will do some fine dining and drinking tonight to festively ring in her 24th year. Hopefully it will be cold outside so she can wear the present that Andrew and I gave her this morning. (She posted a cute coat yesterday and I sneaked over to Old Navy to pick it up last night before she could. The power of blogging… it gets what you want)
