GPOYW: Sword/Baton Fight on the Champs-Élysées Edition
When you’re an American living in a foreign country where Halloween is not celebrated, you HAVE TO go over the top and show them how it’s done. Preferably under the influence of alcohol and in highly-trafficked, public places…
Gossip Girl in Paris.
Confession: I peed on this bridge. Two different times. Once on my 21st birthday and another time I can’t quite remember. I know! It’s terrible! But when you gotta go, you gotta go, and there’s no way you’re gonna go in those disgusting ‘self-cleaning’ portable toilettes. Ew.
Oh, Pont des Arts…
GPOYW: Kate Is Too Far Away And I’m Really Missing Her Edition
My roommate and BFF (what? I still say BFF, don’t judge) left me for the summer to do an internship in Paris. On one hand, I’m jealous and sad. On the other, I’m so excited for her and can’t wait to re-live la vie parisienne vicariously through all her fun stories and pictures. Follow her journey here!

A Paris Favorite: walking aimlessly around the city discovering new random stores and fascinating street performers on what seems like every corner.
Photo taken in front of the Pompidou.
Spending hours eating and drinking lots of yummy red wine, talking about life and love, laughing, reminiscing about old times and sharing ideas for times to come… ça, c’est parfait!
Last night a few of us went to Café du Marché, one of my favorite Paris bistros. We had Brique de Chevre Chaud, Confit de Canard, Boeuf Tartare, Poulet Roti, L’Aie de Raie AND the most amazing Moelleux au Chocolat.
Go here when you come to Paris - it’s on Rue Cler in the heart of the 7th.

Made it to Paris this morning with no problems.
It is so wonderful to be back here. Excited to catch up with old friends, re-visit my favorite sites, enjoy the food I’ve missed so much and pretend I’m française for a few days before returning home to DC.
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!
If you haven’t ever played around on Polyvore, you should because it’s kind of a hoot. This set is called ‘Ready for Paris’ and it’s absurd (I know), but was fun to put together. I’m particularly proud of the cute little shih tzu on the chair.
Wow I’m such a dork…
Isn’t this Sugar Plum Fairy Dress ($69) a cute dress idea for New Years?
I think it’s fun and feminine, looks relatively well-made and I love the exposed back zipper. Imagine with a pair of tall gold or silver heels. Mm, mm, mm…
Why am I just now discovering this delicious powdered Vanilla Bean Latte mix?
Drinking it for the first time this morning, the taste reminds me of sipping coffee under a heater on the outdoor terrace of some charming little corner brasserie in Paris with a great book or magazine or just people-watching.
What a way start my day…
Attention Friends Currently in Paris: Café du Marché
My friend Claire got in touch with me today about a Paris restaurant recommendation - somewhere nice, but not too expensive. Le Café du Marché came to mind immediately. It is a charming little corner bistro in the heart of the 7th, NOT touristy at all, mostly locals, with REAL, like amazing, good food and cocktails. Plus they do a chocolate dessert that will seriously change your life. Hope you like it babe!
Mind-traveling back to my life in Paris makes me so happy: the delicious meals I ate with friends, the shopping, the museums, the art, the culture, the (cough cough) men. TAKE ME BACK!!!
Just want to say a little thank you to everyone who has inspired, commented on, and/or followed my blog sometime over the last seven months. I really appreciate it!
This picture was taken by my brother when he came to visit me in Paris at the end of 2003. We sat down for a moment under the Arc de Triomphe and these were the people sitting across from us. Random candid photo that I’ve always loved. He’s so talented.
Wish I were back in Paris…
People enjoyed the coolness of the Tuileries Garden in Paris Monday, where temperatures reached 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
